INVESTIGATION
September is the most inexpensive month, right, the time to fly and buy cars and all your Christmas presents at once. In Seattle, September is either a weird space where summer doesn’t stop all beautiful and bright or it is the beginning of the long groan of grey. I’m not sure that September is a transition. It’s more of a fade out. It reminds me of the show Six Feet Under. At the beginning of each episode of that incredible show, there was a death, a scene or three showing the final moments of someone who was either important to the show or barely related to the plot. Every single death faded to white, faded to the beginning of the story of the Fisher family. The deaths in that show faded, almost always, into life.
