This month, some changes.
I will be posting poem walks once per month, so as to keep your inboxes a bit less clunky. The first one will be visible to free subscribers, and the other two will be visible to yall amazing folks who support my writing. Endless gratitude.
Remember: A poem “walk” can be any space and time in which you meditate, relax, focus, moving or unmoving. These are just invitations for you to think about a prompt, memorize a line, then bring it to the page and expand.
Poem Walk 1: Think about one of your parents or caregivers. Imagine something they said to you, one or two lines. Try to remember everything about the circumstances that surrounded that line. The action of the moment, the colors, the sound, the food, the smells, the clothes, the place, the time. Bring your line to the page. Cap it at 750 words.
