poem walk 26
Every Sunday, I’ll publish a poem walk - or other activity that brings flash nonfiction In a poem walk, the writer goes on a stroll and “writes” and memorizes a poem, then puts it to the page when they arrive home. The prompt for this week is: breath.
While walking, think about your breath. Do you do breathwork or meditate? Do you do body work like yoga or massage, where you have to breathe through the stretch or the push? Do you work out? Do you control your breath in rest? What does controlling your breath mean to you? Examine YOUR story about breath. If it isn’t important to you or if you hate noticing it, think about that too. Remember as much as you can.
When you get home, you can use your “poem” as a stand alone piece or use it to begin writing a page. For this one, I suggest capping at 750 words.
